#3 Clockwork Angel (Infernal Devices / book 1) by Cassandra Clare

Stars: *****

Genres: YA, Historical Fiction, Steampunk, Romance, Fantasy, Supernatural.

Tessa Gray travels all the way to find her brother in Victorian England, never expecting to find the Dark Sisters waiting for her, much less kidnap her.
Tessa spends six weeks in the Dark Sisters' house, forced into shape shiffting for them (a magical ability she did not know she had) and about to marry The Magister. And that is when she meets Will, who saves her from the Dark Sisters and their mysterious Pandemonium Club.
Alone and in danger, Tessa takes refuge in the Shadowhunters' Institute and discovers a world she never though existed.
The Shadowhunters at the Institute swear to help her find her brother if she will help them find out who this Magister is and what's his plan.
Soon, after finding many friends in the institute, she finds herself torn between to best friends, Will, who never let's anybody close with his sometimes horrible atittude, and James (or Jem), fragile and beautiful who hides a dark secret.
And Tessa realizes that soon she will have to choose between saving her brother or helping the shadowhunters save the world.

I have to admit, I am a sucker for Historical Fiction and if it's Victorian all the better. I love the dresses and the parties and I was not left hanging. I really enjoyed this book and couldn't wait for the second book in this series. This book was funny and beautifully written.
